| Mike
Holder, Owner and Inspector
Eugene M. “Mike” Holder has more than 20 years of engineering experience in safety, structural, and mechanical analysis and design. His credentials include a Master of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A & M, a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from U. A. B. and a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Alabama. Prior to beginning EMH Enterprises, Inc. and EMH Home Inspection, Holder held various positions in Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama as a Project Engineer and Consultant including: American Buildings Company, Butler Manufacturing Co., Inc., Southern Research, and Law Engineering Testing Company. He spent five years as a Safety Engineer with Alabama Power. Holder’s work throughout his career has focused on such things as structural analysis of designs, preparing shop and fabrication designs, material and component selection, site surveys, forensic evaluation/assessment and testing of buildings, components, and code performance. His professional expertise in design, analysis, pricing and code specifications was applied in a wide range of fields including, but not limited to, power, ducts, tanks, support structures and stresses, building design and asbestos removal. Holder is a registered Professional Engineer
in Alabama (10883), Alabama Home Inspector (HI-0823), an
affiliate member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors,
an affiliate member of the Greater Birmingham Association
of Home Builders, and a member of the Birmingham Better
Business Bureau. As a Professional Engineer, Holder is a
member of ASCE and ASME. His work throughout his entire
career has been conducted according to the strict guidelines,
Standards and Canon of Ethics for Professional Engineers.
Holder is a member of ASHI, the American Society of Home
Inspectors. |

| Russell
Poe, Inspector
Russell Poe is an ASHI certified inspector who has been with EMH since 2006. Russell loves his job and loves being a “house detective” – he feels that each house has secrets that must be revealed to ensure the buyer that the house they wish to purchase is safe and sound. Russell’s first career was in the IT Industry where he served as a customer service rep and service manager for over 20 years. He graduated from Walker High School in Walker County in 1981, then received an Associate Degree in Computer Engineering from RETS Electronics Institute in 1985. |

| Jack
Heidt, Inspector
Jack graduated from the University of Georgia and spent several years in concrete construction where he worked on a couple of hundred foundations, high rises, interstate bridges and power plants. He also has extensive remodeling and home repair experience including the total makeover of his own 100 year old house. He has been with EMH since 2006 and is a proud member of ASHI (The American Society of Home Inspectors). In his spare time he enjoys acting and building sets in local theaters. |

| Dianne Daniels, Marketing
Dianne has been with EMH since 2005, as
the marketing director for EMH Inspection Services. A 1993
graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah, Georgia,
Dianne taught middle school English for one year before
moving to Birmingham, which is now home. When she’s
not attending networking functions and promoting EMH, Dianne
spends most of her free time either onstage or backstage
in local theatres. |
